Demographics by Area

The Demographic By Area tool provides basic demographic information for a selected area. Currently, the Demographics by Area tool is based upon a U.S. Census 2000 Block Group query.

When using the Demographic By Area tool, the selected area may intersect multiple block groups. In the total population count, the Demographic By Area tool includes the entire head count for each block group that intersects the selected area. As a result, the population count may seem inaccurate.
