Wednesday, February 27, marked the first-ever Connected Tennessee State Broadband Summit, an event dedicated to showcasing and promoting the positive impacts of high-speed Internet for improved job opportunities and enhanced quality of life.
This daylong event was jam packed with informative topical sessions highlighting technology's impact on education, economic development, libraries, healthcare and public safety; and also spotlighted the work of Connected Tennessee including broadband mapping, community technology assessment programs, the Computers 4 Kids program which provides disadvantaged youth with access to technology and more. Over 100 public and private sector stakeholders from across the state were in attendance for this exciting inaugural event!
