Impact of High-Speed Internet on Libraries

BooksToday, libraries are more than just books on the shelves. Everything from the card catalog to check out is simplified with the help of high-speed Internet. Tennessee libraries are continuing to develop new methods and uses for high-speed internet to keep patrons up-to-date. Most Tennessee universities and colleges are set up with the library as a central location and point of importance. Most have equipped their libraries with wireless Internet to make them hotspots on campus to ensure that students are always connected to the Internet by way of wireless connections in laptop computers.
