Deanna Ward currently serves as Manager, Community Affairs for Connected Nation. Deanna works with the Connected Community Engagement Program to provide a nationally recognized platform for communities to survey their current status with regard to broadband adoption, access, and use. She works closely with the Community Technology Advisors and the community leadership teams to create technology action plans tailored to their specific needs. Prior to this Deanna served as State Operations Manager for Connected Tennessee for over seven years where she was responsible for determining each county’s current use of technology and leading the local teams to create plans for the best way to use technology in various sectors, ultimately helping Tennessee communities remain economically strong. Deanna also served as State Logistic Manager, for CN’s Opportunity Online, a special project sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation designed to leverage technology infrastructure and growth in the public libraries. Deanna holds a bachelor of science in business management from Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee.
